Tour beautiful, private gardens in Summit County Colorado between 9 AM and 3 PM on Saturday, July 20. Tickets are $10 purchased here or $15 on the day of the Tour, payable at registration in the Summit County Community & Senior Center, beginning at 8:30 AM. You must check in by 10:45 AM to participate in the Garden Tour.

At registration you will be provided with details of the gardens on the Tour, and offered light breakfast items provided by our members. This breakfast receives rave reviews every year! In addition, during registration, local artists and the SC Garden Club will have artwork on display and available for purchase. The Tour poster will be available for purchase at registration. The original painting will be offered to the public by silent auction. Also, posters from previous years will be on sale as will SCGC notecards. Summit County's Women of Watercolor will be at the event’s registration area between 8:30 and 10:30 AM, displaying beautiful paintings of our gorgeous alpine flora. These treasures will be for sale.

This year's tour gardens are in northern half of the county – Silverthorne, Frisco, Dillon

Exchange the ticket you purchase from this site for a Tour Guide at the Community and Senior Center in Frisco between 8:30 AM and 10:45 AM on Saturday, July 20. Please arrive before 10:45 AM as registration will close promptly at that time.

At an elevation of 9000 to 10500 feet, you will view stunning perennial and alpine plants, trees and flowers in beautiful mountain settings. The gardens are mixed. Some are designed by the homeowner and some designed professionally.

The Tour is a photographer's dream. Bring your camera and enjoy the day. The diversity of gardens will provide many ideas for your own garden.

There are restaurants in Summit County where you may enjoy lunch or post event refreshments.

DIRECTIONS to registration at the Community Center in Frisco:

From I 70, use exit 203, Frisco exit. Proceed south on Summit Blvd through Frisco. The next traffic light after passing Frisco's Main Street is County Rd 1004 aka Peak One Blvd. Turn right. The road curves. The first left is Nancy's Place. Turn left and then left again into the Community & Senior Center parking lot.

Coming from the south: Take Hwy 9 through Breckenridge. Continue on Hwy 9 north to Frisco. (Frisco is about 10 miles from Breckenridge.) After passing the Hospital and the Adventure Park, make a left turn at the next traffic light, County Rd 1004 aka Peak One Blvd. The road curves. The first left is Nancy's Place. Turn left and then left again into the Community & Senior Center parking lot.

Additional Tour notes:

Wear comfortable shoes that work well for uneven ground, rock and gravel walkways, and steps. A hat and sun tan lotion are advised for a sunny day. A supply of drinking water in your vehicle is recommended.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We try to educate our members and the community about gardening in Summit County and provide a social setting for informational exchanges to share the beauty of gardening with others.

There's lots going on in our Club and room for many to be involved. It's surprising how much we accomplish in our short Summit summer
